There's been a lot of talk about entry level recording on the forums lately, I thought I would dig though my bookmarks and list some of the cool, inexpensive and LEGALLY free VST/VSTis I've found (and used). The plugins I've listed I have used and think are pretty good. Feel free to add to the list - but lets stick to full featured plugin's rather than demos.

/casio-vst-plugins.html. I use slayer2 to create the original signal from an electric guitar, then I process it using either the Peavey ReValverMk III or the FreeAmp3(I believe it's called). Coding for vst plugins. My uncle actually plays the electric guitar, and has developed a pretty good ear for the sound. The amp he uses is the soldano. A set of GREAT free EQs, Compressors, Reverb, High Pass, Low Pass, Channel Strp, Saturators.. really quality stuff. They sound very natural. GET THEM ALL. Espeically EpicVerb.
