After a few months, we are glad to share another free plugin with you: SQ8ROM emulation of the Ensoniq’s SQ-80!

80s Vst Plug-ins

The SQ8ROM is a free plugin that allows you to add 80s synthwave’s influences in your productions. Originally a wavetable workstation hardware released in 1987, it is now available as a free plugin (VST/AU).

While Soundtoys Echoboy is arguably the most versatile, and greatest delay plugin ever, there’s something more authentically 80s about the sound and feel of the PrimalTap, which is an emulation of the legendary Lexicon Prime Time Delay. The 80s was the decade of the synthesizer. Your music recording projects with an 80s vibe need the best 80s synth VST plugin. You can get that electronic sound from a virtual instrument, but there can be roadblocks to your progress. One of these is finding free and paid plugins for the 80s synth. (Image credit: SampleScience) An evolution of the classic ESQ-1, the Ensoniq SQ-80 was a wavetable workstation that was released back in 1987. A firm favourite back in the day, it’s now been revived in the form of SQ8ROM, a free VST/AU synth plugin from Sampleson. We set out to capture the lo-fi spirit of the 80's in an audio plugin. Whether you're into lofi beats, synthwave or trap, Super VHS will give your audio mixes the best vhs effect in a lofi vst. This new vst / vst3 / au / aax plugin by BABY Audio gives you the vibe of analog synths, tape saturation sounds, 8-bit / 12-bit samples & grainy reverbs.
